Here are some stories using idioms done by some of our students.
One evening, when we were just dismissed from school and I was just about to go home, my brother came and told me a secret and told me to keep it under the hat. When I was just about to tell him that my eyes are bigger than my stomach, he left. The next morning I forgot what my brother said and
I let the cat out of the bag.

One morning, it was raining cats and dogs. Rong Joe wanted to take a cat nap. Rong Joe said, “It is a piece of cake to take a cat nap on a rainy day.” So he went to bed.

Mr Smith led a dog life while Mr Opaque lives high on the hog. They worked in the same company. One day, their boss called them into the office. He said, “In order to finish this project, you have to follow my order.” Mr Opaque does not like to follow orders. In the end, Mr Opaque put cart before the horse.

One afternoon at Keming Primary School, it was raining cats and dogs. I had just finished my supplementary classes and was about to go home when my friend, Rong Joe approached me. He told me that he has found one dollar on the floor and he has decided to take it. He asked me to keep it under my hat. I told him that my eyes are bigger than my stomach. Rong Joe said,”It’s okay...” and he walked away. The rain stopped after awhile and I walked home.

One night, it was raining cats and dogs. My father decided to go to Sentosa the next day. My brother, James went ape. The next day, it was very sunny. I went to brush my teeth and wash my face and I found that my brother was eating breakfast. We were eating like horses. When we got changed and was about to leave, it rained cats and dogs again. My brother and I were very upset. My father decided to go to Science Centre. I went ape because that was my favourite place!

For those of you who have no idea what Mrs Rashied is talking about, the 3 projects shortlisted are:
1) Good Values Tables
2) The Water Cycle
3) Science Jigsaw Puzzle
I think there are about 12-15 of you all who are involved, so will definitely talk more this Wednesday
